the problem with birds

Birds, especially in concentrated town centre populations, can create serious problems for property owners, food and catering businesses and local councils.

  • Damage to buildings by fouling
  • Blocked gutters and possible water ingress
  • Health hazards from the diseases pest birds carry
  • Food contamination
  • Increased property maintenance bills
  • Loss of goodwill and accident risks caused by fouling

Ecolab provides guaranteed solutions, primarily using low visibility deterrent systems carefully chosen to be effective, yet, wherever possible, leaving bird life unharmed.

Bio-acoustic Dispersal: This technique uses a mixture of alarm and distress calls over a carefully scheduled time programme to move flocks of birds from specific building or locations.

Live Trapping: Where it is only feasible to control numbers, the strategic placement of cage traps can be used to remove unwanted birds humanely over a period of weeks.
